Running the Connector 5k
Well, well, well, who says that Florida doesn't have any hills. FDOT decided to do a grand opening 5k run of the new Crosstown Connector. What I think is funny is that I had seen pictures of the ramp and I figured that it wasn't too bad. Oh the horror (LOL) I thought that the ramp wouldn't end. What's even funnier is that it was uphill BOTH ways, we ran up the ramp, downward, turned around and ran upward again. I did it in 29:13, I had fun. I am making a call to the brothers to come on out; there were just a handful of us but the sisters showed up; Black Girls Run had a great showing. Also I find it funny that once again a senior just cruises past me, I admired her colorful purple socks, LOL. Well everyone have a blessed New Year.

All I want for Christmas...
Good morning, well the big day is almost here and what better way to prepare than to go for a morning run. I know we tend to relax during the holiday season but hey my reasoning is if I continue to run/exercise I won't feel guilty for eating all of that yummy food ;) I ran 3.72 miles in 33:00. Have a Merry Christmas, put one foot in front of the other and remember that Jesus is the reason for the season :)

Its' brisk out there_11/27/13
Greetings, this is a re-post from 11/27/13. I wanted to get a run in before Thanksgiving so out I went. Man it was rather brisk out there. I got the "enjoyment" of running with and against the wind along with a below average temperature. Time 2.93 miles in 28:45.
From breeze to hot air
Merry Christmas everybody, the weather was great yesterday so I decided to take a run after church. On the way out I had a "nice" head wind that kept me cool. A fellow runner replied "It's hot isn't it?" I replied yes sir, not paying attention to what he asked me. On the way back is where the heat wave began. There wasn't any breeze not even a hot breeze. Considering I hadn't jogged in about a month it was tiring but I made it. I ran 3.85 miles in 38:09. I wish every one a Merry Christmas, stay safe and remember Jesus is the reason for the season; God bless! :)
