In a holding pattern...

Howdy folks, well I will be in a holding pattern indefinitely.  I am trying to balance running, working and studying for school and there is not enough hours in the day (yes there is).  I was really looking forward to running the half marathon in Gasparilla.  I bought new insoles and running shoes in order to prepare for the race but alas I will not attend.  I will run every now and again but I must focus on my school.  God bless, good evening and keep running. :)

A Little Change...

Greetings everyone, considering that I left work early today I decided to go for a run.  Yeah I know it is Monday but change is good riiight ;) The temperature was mild, and there was little to no breeze; it was great. I ran a distance of 7.01 miles in 1:17:08, pace of 11:00 minutes/mi with a speed of 5.45 miles/hr.  This is an interesting article that I wanted to share with everyone; have a blessed night.

From time to time, we call attention to one of the faces in the crowd and provide a quick snapshot about one of the hundreds of thousands of people who have run Boston. Today we recognize Bennett Beach of Bethesda, Maryland, who last year finished his 47th consecutive Boston Marathon in 5:26:58. Currently, 65 runners have active streaks of completing at least 25 Boston Marathons consecutively. Are you working on a Boston Marathon streak? ‪#‎facesinthecrowd‬ ‪#‎bostonmarathon‬
PS - Bennett is all signed up for #48 in April.

Just for You

Howdy everyone, it has been a little while since I ran; it was just too cold for me, LOL.  A friend of mine ribbed me the other day about not running in any and every type of weather.  Well in order to get back into the swing of things I ran 6.00 miles in 1:04:55 with a pace of 10:49 min./mile.  How about that my friend, God bless and good night.

Coming 'round the corner

Howdy everybody, what a nice evening to go running.  It is kind of funny to run around the neighborhood in a continuous loop, well not really. I ran 5.03 miles in 49:46, pace of 9.53 min/miles, 6.07 miles/hr.  Have a blessed night.

Strong Run

Greetings, after a week off because of Thanksgiving it was time to get back into the saddle.  The weather was cool with a slight overcast.  I planned on running three miles but my legs were feeling really good so I ran four instead.  I ran 4.02 miles in 38.53 with a pace of 9:41 min/mi and a speed of 6.20 mi/h. God bless and good night.

and now back to our regulary scheduled program...

Not really.  Greetings. I am a few days behind in jogging and blogging.  We had some chilly days here and I was not going to run since the temperature was below 60 degrees.  Yes I know that would be considered a heat wave if I lived up north but in Florida that is a no-no.  On the way home today I looked at the weather and realized that it would be great to go for a run and that is what I did.  This is the week where I run four miles so today I ran 4.01 miles in 38:28, pace of 9:35min/mi with a speed of 6.26 mi/h. I am surprised that my pace was under ten minutes to be honest with you; I can only thank the Lord for that. Good night :)

I do not want to do this...

Greetings, after a chilly start the day turned out well.  I wanted to wait until the sun went down before I went on my run.  Sitting around watching tv was getting old so I decided to head out and take in the late evening sun.  For some reason running the 3 miles felt like a big task but I powered thru anyway.  I did 3 miles in 29:13, pace of 9:45 min/mi., speed: 6.15 mi/h. Peace and God Bless.  P.S. Some brave soul was out running at 6:00 in the morning in ~ 45 degree weather.  My hat is off to you.
